Using Bonnie's instructions as a template, I crocheted two Tooka dolls and named them Bin Bin and Ube. Here they are in a Wookiee's Life Day stocking. (Don't recall Wookiee stockings? See deleted scenes on STAR WARS The Holiday Special Special Edition DVD.) More pictures:Bin Bin and Boga run over a treacherous Clone TrooperUbe takes a ride on AppaHow I did it I printed the reference photo and used it as a sizing guide. I crocheted a rectangular tube using sc and back-to-front sc stitches on the wrong side while leaving openings for the various appendages. Then I crocheted the appendages by crocheting tubes in rounds around each opening. I decreased the stitches in each round until it was small enough to weave close with a sewing end. I sewed on the eyes before I stuffed the doll. I stuffed the doll before I crocheted and closed the last appendage. Thanks for the guidance and inspiration, bonniegrrl!
